Piers created Outsourcery with business partner Simon Newton after buying out a mobile voice and data reseller business in March 2007. Following the disposal of the mobile business in 2011, Outsourcery has evolved into a world-leading and focused Cloud Services Provider with the broadest service offering in the world. Outsourcery offers Cloud-based Microsoft applications, unified communications solutions, platform-as-a-service, connectivity and mobile voice and data solutions on the O2 network. Outsourcery's customers range from SMEs to FTSE-100 companies.

Piers qualified as a solicitor before working in M&A investment banking at Credit Suisse until 2000, since when he has been involved in a number of technology, media and telecommunications businesses and alternative investment funds. He sits on the governance board of the UK’s Cloud Industry Forum and was recognised in the JP Morgan Sponsored Power List 2012 as one of the top 100 most influential black Britons.
